Getting started
From signing up to your first scheduled task, in six short steps.
Justin is an AI coworker that works inside Slack. Ask it in plain language — in a channel or a direct message — and it reads the thread, reaches into the tools you have connected, does the work, and posts the result back where you asked.
1. Create your account and connect Slack
Go to app.getjustin.ai and sign up with your work email.
You start free for 14 days or 1,000 credits, whichever comes first. No card required.
Connect Slack in app.getjustin.ai/slack/connect.
2. Talk to Justin in Slack
Open a direct message with Justin and just type — no mention needed.
Invite Justin to a channel, then @-mention it with your request.
It replies in a thread, so a long answer never floods the channel.
There are no slash commands to learn. You ask in the words you would use with a colleague.
3. Connect some tools
Authorize the two or three tools you use daily — Google Sheets, HubSpot, Zendesk, Notion. Over 3,000 are available, or add your own MCP server.
One person connecting a tool makes it available to the whole team.
Justin only acts through the tools you connect, and anything that writes to one waits for your approval.
4. Schedule a task
Ask for it in plain language: “post a summary of open issues to #standup every weekday at 9am”.
Or build it in app.getjustin.ai/automations.
Choose where it lands — Slack channels, direct messages, in-app chat or email.
Reply under a delivered report to follow up. No mention needed.
5. Create an artifact
Ask Justin to build something: “turn this into a dashboard”, “draft a one-pager from this thread”.
It builds a live page and links it at the end of its reply.
Open it again next month and the numbers are current.
Ask for a public link when you need to share it outside the team.
